A collection of personal insights, thoughts, and visions on technology, creativity, and digital life.
Digital Notebook Vol. 1
Many see AI as a hammer to strike a problem. I see it as an architect by my side. The dialogue with the machine, shaping a vague idea through precise questions, is the core of true creative synergy. It's not about giving commands, but about having a conversation. In this dialogue, something emerges that neither could have created alone – a synthesis of human intention and machine breadth.
Location independence is not a trend, but the logical consequence of digitalization. It's not about *where* you work, but *what* you create and in what state you do it. True productivity arises from focus and freedom, not from mandatory attendance. The office was a solution to an analog problem; in a networked world, it often becomes the problem itself.
A website is perfect when the user reaches their goal without thinking about the user interface. Every unnecessary element, every animation that only decorates instead of guiding, is a hurdle. Good design is the silent hero in the background, paving the way without pushing itself into the foreground. Reduction is the highest form of sophistication.
Films like "It's a Wonderful Life" teach us more about storytelling and humanity than any modern blockbuster. The technology may be outdated, the emotion is timeless. They prove that a good story doesn't live on special effects, but on characters we feel with and a message that endures. This is a lesson for every creative project.
The next level of storytelling lies in interactive 360° videos. Whether AI-generated or really filmed – the player is no longer just a spectator, but part of the scene. Imagine a game like 'Detroit: Become Human' where you can physically look around the room to find clues. This is not a distant future, but the next creative frontier I'm working on.
Agencies don't need mass-hosting packages, but tailor-made solutions. It's about guaranteed performance, dedicated resources, and a contact person who understands the technology. My goal is to keep agencies' backs free so they can concentrate on what they do best: being creative. Server management should be a service, not a burden.
We live in a world of 'more'. More features, more distractions, more apps. True progress, however, often lies in omission. A minimalist desktop, a curated selection of tools, and a clear focus on one task are more effective than any complex productivity system. Order in the digital space creates order in the mind.
In a time when algorithms make decisions, ethics must not be an afterthought. It must be built into the code from the outset. Data protection, fairness, and transparency are not features, but the foundation upon which responsible technology is built. Those who write code today shape the society of tomorrow.
Space for the unspoken!
Many start a company to sell a product. I start companies to build systems. Every project – be it hosting, domain services, or an AI application – is a cog in a larger mechanism. They condition and strengthen each other. A good ecosystem is resilient, creates synergies and offers the user coherent added value that goes far beyond the sum of its individual parts. This is strategic founding.
In a noisy world, introversion is often misunderstood as a weakness. For me, it is a superpower. It is the source of deep work, of undisturbed analysis, and the ability to listen instead of just transmitting. The best ideas don't arise in the noise of meetings, but in the silence where one can recognize the patterns behind the static. Creativity and strategic thinking need this space to breathe.
Narrative games like 'Detroit: Become Human' are more than entertainment for me – they are ethical simulators. They force us to experience the consequences of our decisions in real time and to develop empathy for digital beings. They teach us that there are no 'right' or 'wrong' paths, but only a web of cause and effect. This lesson is invaluable in real life as it is in code architecture.
Why do we love amusement parks? Because they are masterfully staged user experiences. Every path, every theme, every millisecond of a roller coaster ride is designed to create a specific emotion – tension, joy, wonder. It's the perfect symbiosis of engineering and storytelling. A good website should aim for exactly that: a seamless journey that not only informs the user, but also makes them feel something.
Holding a camera is more than just pressing a button. It is a conscious decision to cut a fleeting moment from the unstoppable flow of time and give it duration. It is an act of observation, of finding composition in chaos, and of respect for light. Every image is a preserved emotion, a story told without a single word. It trains the eye for the essential.
A difficult childhood is not a flaw, but an intensive training camp for resilience. It teaches you early on to be independent, to solve problems analytically, and to rely on your own strength. The scars that remain are not a sign of weakness, but the foundation upon which a strong, empathetic, and self-determined life can be built. They are proof that one has fallen and risen again.
The most creative moment is not that of creation, but the silence before it. The 'idle' time in which the subconscious makes connections. You cannot force creativity, just as you cannot hear grass grow. You can only create the right conditions: curiosity, openness, and the patience to wait for the moment when the puzzle pieces fall into place themselves. True innovation arises from incubation, not from haste.
Technology ages. Frameworks become obsolete. What remains is the logic, the structure, that solved a problem – the code as a manifestation of a thought. And what remains even longer is the story that this technology told. Did it connect people? Did it simplify processes? Did it inspire? In the end, it's about building systems that not only function, but also have meaning. That is the true legacy.
Every line of code I write, every system architecture I design, is a fingerprint of my mindset. The chatbot on this page is not just a script; it is a distillate of my personality, my humor, my way of communicating. Technology is never neutral. It is always a mirror of its creator. The true "human in the machine" is not the AI, but the developer whose logic and values live on in every byte.
The tech world is obsessed with speed: fast sprints, fast launches, fast failure. But true quality and innovation take time. Like a good film, a good project also needs moments of calm, reflection, and conscious slowness. It is the ability to pause and let an idea mature that distinguishes superficial products from pioneering systems. Sustainability is more important than haste.
My 3D avatar is not an exact copy of me. It is an idealized version – the best haircut, the right outfit, always ready. Our digital twins, whether on social media or a portfolio page, are a conscious performance. They are not dishonest, but a focused representation of what we want to be. The art lies in authentically designing this digital identity and using it as an extension, not a mask.
In the hosting business and with every digital project, it's about trust. Users entrust us with their data not for us to exploit it, but for us to enable a service. Every database, every log file is a responsibility. Data protection is not a tedious duty, but an ethical foundation. A system that does not respect the privacy of its users from the ground up is built on sand and will not stand the test of time.
We are moving away from flat, document-based websites to immersive, three-dimensional spaces. Technologies like WebGL and WebGPU are not just for games; they allow us to experience information and interactions spatially. The website of the future is not a place you read, but a place you enter, move around in, and interact with – be it a virtual gallery, a 3D configurator, or an interactive film.
As an entrepreneur with many ideas, the most important skill is not to say 'Yes' to a new opportunity, but to consciously say 'No' to 99 good ideas in order to concentrate on one excellent one. Every 'Yes' is a commitment of time and energy. Strategy does not mean doing everything that is possible, but only doing what truly matters. Focus is the currency with which visions are paid.
Biological evolution is too slow for the pace of the information society. For me, transhumanism is not the end of humanity, but its liberation from biological coincidences. We stand at a point where we take the tool of evolution into our own hands. It is about eliminating diseases, expanding cognitive abilities, and extending life beyond its previous limits. For me, technology is the logical partner of our minds to reach the next level of our existence.
For me, an implant is not a foreign body, but a functional extension of the self. The boundary between what we call 'natural' and 'artificial' is increasingly blurring. I consider the merging of technology and body as a meaningful path for my own future. Whether neural interfaces or bio-electronic upgrades – if technology helps us perceive the world more intensely or optimize our physique, we should not see it as a threat, but as an opportunity. We are already cyborgs through our smartphones; the hardware merely moves under the skin.
If we can digitize music, movies, and currencies, why not the most complex pattern of all: human consciousness? For me, mind uploading is not just a thought experiment, but a desirable goal. The idea of detaching the essence of who I am from transient biology and transferring it into a digital space deeply fascinates me. A digital Andy, existing independently of time and physical decay, is the ultimate form of freedom. We must learn to understand consciousness as a data stream that merely needs a stable platform.
For me, cryonics is the sensible 'Plan B'. I consider cryopreservation not as a burial, but as a journey with an unknown arrival date. It is a gamble on the medical and technological progress of coming centuries. In the hope of one day waking up in a world that can cure my current diseases or digitize my consciousness, freezing is a logical decision. It is an attempt to outwit death by stopping time until science has the answers we still lack today. An optimistic view of eternity.
